The Nature of the Buddha Dharma – Shi Zhenlin (Master)

The Buddha Dharma is a science of great depth. It covers the evolution of all the substances in the universe. Albert Einstein, the greatest scientist over the past century, came up with the Law of the Conservation of Energy. It states that the total amount of energy remains constant in an isolated system. It can neither be created nor destroyed. The only thing that can happen is that it can change form, from one substance to another.

Shakyamuni Buddha states that the Buddha Nature remains constant. Every being has it. The concept of energy by Albert Einstein is what is referred to as the Buddha Nature by Shakyamuni, and substances as all beings, except they say it in different times and use different words. However, they are talking about the same thing. While Albert Einstein only finds out its existence, he is unable to control it nor harness it as he wants. However, Shakyamuni Buddha is able to keep it under control, and tells us what to do as so to be like Him, and able to control it.

Word fails to describe in clear-cut terms or thoroughly what Buddha Dharma is, as it is so deep and profound a system. While we all know about nuclear bomb, none of us could make it clear to all in a few hours or few days just how it is made or why it is so powerful. We need to spend time and efforts studying it to really know why. The same holds true for the Buddha Dharma. If you don’t practise it, you will ever know what it is.

Sure, you may disagree with what I say, which is fine. We always see different views when in different places. You see more when on the second floor than people on the first floor, and still more when on the 3rd floor…the 5th floor…and the 10th floor. If you tell the scenes that you enjoy when standing on the 10th floor to people who have never been there but stayed only on the first floor, they won’t believe what you say. Diamond always cuts diamond. All the cultivators of the Buddha Dharma should realize it. We don’t comment on what others are doing. Ignore what we hear or see, and we can make it to keep our heart purified and mind at peace.
