Instructional Talk by Master Zhenlin

As long as you apply genuine efforts to cultivating the Buddha Dharma, everything, be it about the life, work, or family, shall be under our control.

All that happens around you is but illusory. Pay no attention to it. Develop a singular focus in cultivation and concentrate on practicing it. As long as you can make it, for sure you shall reach the shore.

(A disciple comments, “Thank you, Master! Word fails to describe how grateful I am!”)

We often talk of “being filled with the joy of Dharma”. See, you are in such a joyful state now!

Amitabha-Buddha! I simply help you get on the boat. It is up to you yourself to pull the oars. You shall more and more feel how wonderful and amazing the Buddha Dharma is as long as you act in compliance with my instructions.

Do not harbour any doubt about Master’s instructions. If you can make it, all the states shall appear before you without you having to cultivate.

Take your time to understand my point! Once you get it, you are already halfway towards the destination of success.

I bestow the same amount of blessing on every disciple. How much is received, however, depends on the faith that each individual has. The knowledge you have previously acquired is based on logics. Logics is within the realm of the Six Consciousnesses, while the Buddha Dharma transcends all the Eight Consciousness. That is why the established thinking can become the biggest obstacles to your cultivation once we reach a certain state.

Therefore, you need to know how to put it down. Do not try to contemplate or figure out why. Act as the first thought that arises in your mind. So long as you can adhere to the single-mindedness, so long you attain the Bodhi Mind. Once the Bodhi Mind is attained, you shall be enlightened to the Buddha Dharma. It shall be much easier for you to cultivate it from then on.
