You are Dear to My Heart -- Lingbei (Disciple)

It is the sixth day of the Chinese New Year today, and Master’s birthday.

It is a day of rejoicing in our eyes. Master, though, said that it is a day of suffering for his mother, to whom the best wishes should go.

Leading by example, he shows to us that filial piety is the foremost priority and very foundation for a cultivator.

It has been over three years since Master set off to rescue the living beings.

He has offered blood and sweat to us, and toiled to build the Dongyue Temple and the Flying-to-the-Heaven Cave Wayplace.

The foundation has been well-laid, and the Proper Dharma is to abide.

We take delight in being with Master, as he fills our mind with the joy of Dharma, and free from afflictions.

Under his auspices, the family is growing larger and larger.

Master has but all alone borne the pressure himself, so that we disciples get to cultivate in a good surrounding of peace, and free from disturbances.

For our life, he extends care. In our cultivation, he gives instruction.

Master is both like our father and mother. He is also our friend and brother.

He leads us forward, employing expedient means that suit us the best, while never does he give a single thought for himself.

Why all the toil?

He does so but for us, so that we end suffering and gain release from the Three Realms. By then, all of us shall stay together forever.

Some make groundless accusations against Master, like a blind man making a false speech thinking he knows the whole picture while having touched by a small patch of it. They won’t wake up until retributions befall them. Isn’t that pitiable and pathetic?

Words fall short in describing our gratitude and admiration to Master, not even sacrificing our life can fully express it. Master’s grace is beyond description.

We can but apply real efforts to repay his kindness, cultivating with a singular focus as Master has instructed.

Following Master closely, we never waver in faith, and would like to transfer all the merits and virtues to him.

We can never be who we are without you, Master! To you, we have but single-minded sincerity!

Homage to Venerable Master Zhenlin! Happy Birthday!
